YouTube Launches 'Hype' Button

YouTube has launched the 'Hype' button in 39 countries. The most hyped videos will now be featured in a separate ranking and on the homepage with the 'Hype' label. The button can be pressed for free only three times a week and only for channels with an audience of up to 500,000 subscribers. The smaller the channel, the more points one 'Hype' brings. There is still no news about the 'new source of revenue for creators' promised a year ago.
