Croatian Freediver Sets World Record

Freediver from Croatia, Vitomir Maričić, set a world record by holding his breath underwater for 29 minutes and 3 seconds. The record was set in the pool of the Bristol hotel in Opatija in front of five official judges and a hundred spectators. Before diving, Maričić breathed pure oxygen for 10 minutes, allowing him to hold his breath for almost half an hour.
