IT specialists are officially at the top of the list of the most unemployed professionals in the USA. The unemployment rate among IT graduates under 27 years is 6%, while for programmers it's a striking 7.5%. Even biologists and art historians are faring better. Corporations like Amazon and Intel are cutting staff, the number of vacancies for juniors has fallen by 21% compared to pre-COVID levels, and some tasks are already being handled by AI. Meanwhile, the influx of new personnel shows no signs of stopping: just last year, 170,000 graduates received their degrees - twice as many as ten years ago.
