Karl's Epic Journey Around the World

British adventurer Karl Bushby has been trying for 27 years to complete an uninterrupted journey around the world on foot. He began his mega expedition in Chile back in 1998. Since then, he has crossed the Asian and American continents, swum across the Caspian Sea, and visited 25 countries. Initially, Karl planned to finish his journey in 2006, but due to visa and financial issues (he receives funding from sponsors and sales of his book about this journey), everything has been significantly delayed. Now, the 56-year-old traveler has about 3000 km left to go - and if everything goes according to plan, he will reach his final destination in about a year.
