Powerful Typhoon Hits Hong Kong

A powerful typhoon has hit Hong Kong. The maximum wind speed reached 140 km/h. Public transport and ferry services in the city were halted. Additionally, about 500 flights were canceled due to weather conditions, and another 400 were postponed to a later date. Local authorities also suspended classes in schools and kindergartens. The typhoon warning level has now been lowered from 10th (hurricane) to 8th degree (severe storm), however, heavy rains continue.
