Japan Sets Internet Speed Record

Japan has set a new internet speed record - 1.02 petabits per second. That's about a million gigabits per second – approximately 3.5 million times higher than the average internet speed in the United States. The tests were conducted in a laboratory with 19-core optical fiber over 1800 km. In 1 second, locals can download 100,000 movies in Full HD.
