An Ark for Microbes is being built in Switzerland

As part of the Microbiota Vault Initiative project, scientists have frozen the most beneficial bacteria for the future - there are already 1204 human samples and 190 for fermentation. They are looking for a special place for the storage that can survive an apocalypse.
