AI avatars of two popular streamers from China conducted a 7-hour broadcast on the Youxuan platform and sold goods worth $7.6 million - more than the two have ever earned on their 'live' streams. Both hosts, Luo Yonghao and Xiao Mu, appeared as digital twins created based on a generative model from Baidu and trained on five years of their videos. Voice, mannerisms, jokes - all just like the real thing, only without breaks and fees.
