Scientists Create Youth Cocktail Extending Life

May 31, 2025

Scientists have created a youth cocktail—extending life by 30%. In Germany, a cocktail was mixed from anti-aging drugs—rapamycin and trametinib—that are used for cancer treatment. With the help of the new drug, scientists managed to extend the lives of mice by approximately 26–35%. Moreover, the treatment delayed the development of age-related diseases. Elderly mice in therapy became more active than normal old mice. Scientists report that we cannot expect the drug to increase life expectancy to 130 years—it's specifically about improving quality of life in old age: increased energy and reduced chronic ailments. Human trials are set to begin soon.
