Indian Woman Imprisoned for Murder Based on Controversial Technology

In India, a woman was imprisoned for murder without evidence, based on 'mind scanning' technology. The 24-year-old Aditi Sharma was accused of poisoning her fiancé in 2008, but there was no evidence, and she denied the murder. Investigators turned to the controversial BEOS technology, which tracks the brain's electrical oscillations. During the procedure, forensic experts place a cap with electrodes on the suspect and ask questions about the crime while recording brain activity. Interestingly, the BEOS technology identifies guilty individuals with 90% accuracy - but in other cases, it may falsely incriminate an innocent person.
