A living coelacanth, an ancient fish that lived during the time of the dinosaurs, has been filmed for the first time off the coast of Indonesia. The species was long thought to have gone extinct about 65-70 million years ago until a specimen was caught by South African fishermen in 1938, and scientists encountered it again in 1997 at an Indonesian fish market. The coelacanth has now been found in its natural habitat, but the exact location is being kept secret to protect it.
