Scientists from Canada conducted a large-scale study and finally ended the debates: video games genuinely protect against senile dementia. Three groups of people did different things for half a year: some played Super Mario, others engaged in music, and the third group did nothing. When the study concluded, scanners showed that gamers had an increase in gray matter volume in their brains. They performed better on tests, showed greater activity, and cognitive flexibility.
