New and Rare Tree Species Discovered in Tanzania

In the forests of Tanzania, a new and extremely rare species of giant trees aged around 3000 years has been found. The height of Tessmannia princeps reaches 40 meters, and they grow very slowly - it takes up to 15 years for the trunk circumference to increase by one centimeter. Only 100 trees have been discovered, so there is a call to include them in the Red List.
