Xiaomi releases the safest car in China

March 27, 2025

According to CarNewsChina, several units of the Xiaomi SU7 Max with lidar and all-wheel drive were purchased anonymously from a randomly selected dealer for crash tests to prevent result manipulation by the automaker. This version of the sedan costs $41,345 in China and is equipped with the proprietary Pilot Max active driver assistance system. The Chinese company has been selling its SU7 electric vehicles for almost a year, previously lacking the relevant experience in their production and design, which makes it even more significant that the brand's first model has earned the highest safety ratings according to the C-NCAP methodology. The Xiaomi SU7 Max sedan emerged as the best among all passenger cars tested in China according to the 2024 rules, achieving an astounding 93.5%.
