Private Spacecraft Lands on the Moon Successfully

A private spacecraft has successfully landed on the Moon for the first time. The American Firefly module will operate on the satellite for about 14 days and take pictures of the eclipse when the Earth blocks the Sun, after which it will shut down due to the lunar night. Onboard are 10 scientific instruments, including a 'space vacuum cleaner.' Last year, another private module landed on the Moon, but it tipped over.
