Genetics Influence Sexual Desire

January 19, 2025

The human tendency to seek sexual pleasures is primarily determined by parental genes. We live in a society that stigmatizes those who do not experience constant sexual desire. However, research indicates that such desire is influenced by genetics. According to the data, around 30% of people have an increased desire. And 60% of men and women do not have a particular fondness for sex. Only 10% of adults are considered to have a normal level of amorousness (although normal is subjective for each individual).
