Iceland: Lava Engulfs Infrastructure

Photographer Wilhelm Gunnarsson captured how lava engulfs Iceland's infrastructure. In Iceland, the eruption of the Sundhnukur Volcano on the Reykjanes Peninsula has led to the evacuation of the town of Grindavik and the popular resort 'Blue Lagoon'. According to Icelandic meteorologists, this phenomenon has occurred for the seventh time this year. The length of the fissure is about three kilometers, and its southern end is located at Silingarfell.
