India Considers Emergency Due to Air Pollution

India is considering declaring a state of emergency due to air pollution. The relevant indicator in the Indian capital has reached a record 494 units, while the norm is 50 units. Breathing such air is equivalent to smoking 50 cigarettes a day. To restore the environment, it is proposed to implement measures that were taken during the COVID-19 pandemic.
