Banana sold for $6.24 million

A banana taped to a wall was sold at Sotheby's auction for $6.24 million. The buyer is Chinese crypto-entrepreneur and art collector Justin Sun. Immediately after the purchase, he plans to eat the banana "as part of this unique artistic experience, paying tribute to its place both in art history and in popular culture".
