Cryostimulation improved sleep in healthy people

November 17, 2024

The experiment involved 11 men and 9 women aged 20 to 25 years. For each of them, the quality of sleep and heart rate variability were randomly recorded for five consecutive nights. During this period, they underwent five-minute sessions of whole-body cryostimulation at a temperature of -90 degrees Celsius periodically. It turned out that even with a short course, their average subjective sleep quality, overall mood, and duration of the slow-wave sleep phase improved. Other physiological parameters did not change.
