Aptera Motors successfully tests solar-powered electric car

The American startup Aptera Motors has successfully tested the first production solar-powered electric vehicle. The futuristic PI2 resembles a starship or amphibious plane and travels 640 km on a single charge and 64 km per day from the sun. Market deliveries will start in 2025, and the company has already received 50,000 pre-orders.
