3. Don't keep doors open for those who constantly hurt you. They are responsible for their words and actions. And you are responsible for your personal boundaries. 4. Don't let them convince you that it's all in your head, that you are too sensitive, that there's something wrong with you. If it hurt, it hurt. It was not your imagination. Those who truly care for us will never shame us for our emotions and experiences. 5. Understand that your forgiveness does not depend on their apologies. Forgiveness means that their actions no longer have power over you. It means that you and those people are on different levels of maturity and awareness. The ability to see and understand this makes us free.
