Apple studies AI models' logical reasoning capabilities

Apple conducted research on the ability of neural networks to create logical connections. A range of popular language models, such as ChatGPT, Llama, Phi, Gemma, and Mistral, were tested. None of the models were able to demonstrate logical thinking, and the reasoning abilities attributed to some of them are essentially based on an advanced pattern reproduction system.
