Screenwriter of the Harry Potter series hasn't finished reading the books

The screenwriter of the Harry Potter series, which is set to be released in 2026, admitted that he hasn't even finished reading the original books by Joanne Rowling. Andy Greenwald mentioned that he used to read excerpts of the book to his daughter before bed and then simply gave up. Despite this, Andy is opposed to strictly adapting the screenplay from the books and believes that new details need to be added to the original story to refresh the plot.
