Curiosity Rover Continues Its Mission

Over 12 years on the Red Planet, the rover has traveled only 32 km, but its aluminum 'tires' have already worn significantly, and there's even a gigantic hole on the right middle one. Nevertheless, it has not lost its ability to move. According to NASA, Curiosity is 'holding up remarkably well' and can continue its mission. Routes are chosen to be as safe as possible to minimize encounters with large rocks.
