US Teen Completes Classic Tetris on NES as First in the World

October 10, 2024

A teenager from the USA is the first in the world to fully complete the classic Tetris on the NES console. Unlike 13-year-old Willis Gibson, who was also said to be the 'first in the world to complete Tetris', this young man played a patched version of the game that did not crash. In one and a half hours, 16-year-old Michael Artiaga completed 255 levels (a feat previously achieved only by AI), after which the game restarted.
