Chinese Tencent Develops Robot for Elderly Care

Chinese company Tencent has developed a walking-wheeling robot that can take care of the elderly and more. The bot can switch from driving to walking if it encounters stairs, senses the force of touches to interact 'gently' with people, and can fold into a suitcase for transport. The idea is that in the future, such a robot will work in nursing homes and hospitals, go shopping, and help with other tasks.
