Artificial Lake and Ski Resort in Saudi Arabian Desert

In the middle of the desert in Saudi Arabia, an artificial lake and ski resort are being created. The complex is being built 50 km from the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba, where winter temperatures drop below zero and are otherwise 10°C cooler than other areas. Luxury homes, a hotel, and restaurants will be built next to the reservoir, and ski slopes will be equipped in the mountains. The work is expected to be completed by 2026, and in 2029 the Winter Asian Games will even be held there.
