Artificial Lake and Ski Resort Being Built in Saudi Arabia

In the middle of the desert in Saudi Arabia, an artificial lake and ski resort are being created. The complex is being built 50 km from the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba, where the temperature in winter drops below zero, and at other times is 10°C cooler than in other areas. Luxurious homes, a hotel, and restaurants will be constructed near the water body, and skiing trails will be set up in the mountains. The work is promised to be completed by 2026, and in 2029, the Asian Winter Games will even be held there.
