American Fisherman Catches Incredibly Rare Blue-Rose-Purple Lobster

August 12, 2024

A fisherman from the USA caught an incredibly rare blue-rose-purple lobster - the chances of encountering such a specimen are one in a hundred million. Scientists explain that lobsters have red, yellow, and blue pigments, so their coloration depends on random genetic mutations. For example, blue lobsters occur approximately once in two million, two-toned ones occur 1:50 million, and such as this one, 1:100 million.
