July 24, 2024

The Japanese National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) plans to build a new supercomputer, AI Bridging Cloud Infrastructure 3.0 (ABCI 3.0), in the city of Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture. The contractor is HPE, which will create the system based on the Cray XD platform with NVIDIA H200 accelerators, connected via the 200G-interconnect NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand. ABCI 3.0 is expected to become Japan's fastest AI supercomputer with a performance of around 410 petaflops (FP64).
