Sexual Blackmail: Men Are More Vulnerable

June 15, 2024

Men are more likely to be victims of sexual blackmail than women, according to a study conducted by scientists. The research aimed to determine which population groups are more susceptible to sexual blackmail. It found that 14.5% of respondents had experienced sexual blackmail, while 5% admitted to engaging in such behavior themselves. Men were subjected to and played the role of blackmailers 1.17 and 1.43 times more often than women, respectively. Young people and representatives of sexual minorities were also found to be at a higher risk. The survey also revealed that residents of Mexico, the United States, Australia, and South Korea were the most frequent victims of sexual blackmail. Europeans, on the other hand, were less affected by this issue.
