Successful Return of Starship Prototype Reported by SpaceX

SpaceX has announced the first successful return to Earth of the Starship prototype. Elon Musk stated that the spacecraft made a soft landing in the Indian Ocean despite partial damages and loss of video communication with the ground. The prototype of the Super Heavy rocket's first stage also safely landed in the Gulf of Mexico. Recovery of the stage for reuse in this flight was not planned, but it is expected to be brought back to the launch site in the future.
