USA, as one of the first countries in the world, has raised tariffs on imports of electric cars from China by a whopping four times, from 25% to 102.5%. The government is confident that Chinese companies are offering impossibly low prices for their vehicles due to subsidies, thereby disrupting the market's fair competition. With the new tariffs, this will no longer be the case. Elon Musk also expressed his concerns, believing that without trade restrictions, the Chinese will crush global car manufacturers.
