China has launched its first-ever mission to collect soil samples from the far side of the Moon. The Chang'e-6 spacecraft is expected to land near the largest and oldest lunar crater, gather approximately 2 kilograms of soil, and return it to Earth. If all goes according to plan, the mission will last for 53 days, and the collected samples will help scientists better understand the history of the Moon's formation and other celestial bodies.
