Japan successfully tests 6G network

Japan is already testing a 6G network with data transmission speeds of up to 100 gigabits per second. This is achieved thanks to extremely high frequencies ranging from 100 GHz to 300 GHz, but the tradeoff is limited range as data can only be transmitted up to a distance of 100 meters. By comparison, the maximum speed reached for 5G networks is 4.9 gigabits per second.
