6. The habit of manipulation. When you don't believe in your own abilities, you use others to achieve your goals. Whether you like it or not, you become a manipulator. You have to resort to all sorts of tricks and gimmicks: playing on pity, appealing to conscience, and using guilt as a weapon. And when the old buttons get stuck, you have to find new ones.
