Man finds relief by having two fingers amputated

A man asked to have two fingers removed because he had always felt that they didn't belong to him. Doctors agreed and amputated his ring finger and little finger. After the procedure, the man sighed with relief. He had been haunted by nightmares of these two fingers burning or decaying his whole life. He constantly obsessed over them.
