Scientists have found that childbirth reduces a woman's biological age. 119 study participants provided blood samples for DNA methylation analysis during early, mid, and late pregnancy, and 68 of them also provided samples approximately three months after giving birth. It was found that the mother's biological age increased from early to late pregnancy. However, by the third month after childbirth, the process reversed. Moreover, the decrease in biological age was 2-3 times greater than the increase during pregnancy. This effect was more pronounced in those who exclusively practiced breastfeeding.
