NASA to Launch Plaque with Humanity's Information into Space

March 24, 2024

NASA will send a special 18x28 cm plaque on board the Europa Clipper spacecraft, which will travel to Jupiter's moon Europa. The plaque contains the word 'water' in 103 variations, a poem by Ada Limón, a portrait of scientist Ronald Greeley, and the Drake Equation. It also includes a silicon chip with the names of 2.6 million people from all over the world. The spacecraft will reach Jupiter's orbit by 2030.
