New type of fraud

In Hong Kong, an employee of a transnational company was tricked into paying $25 million to scammers. They used deepfake technology to impersonate the company's financial director. The employee was deceived into participating in a video call with supposedly his colleagues, who were actually artificial intelligence creations. They looked and spoke like familiar people to him.
