A 285-year-old lemon was sold for £1416 at an auction in London. The lemon was found in an antique cabinet and had a note saying it was presented as a gift by a certain Miss Baxter on November 4, 1739. Despite efforts, her identity remains unknown. Experts concluded that the lemon holds historical significance. As a result, the bidding for the lot increased by 50 times. Surprisingly, the antique cabinet where the lemon was discovered was sold for only £30.
