Scientists have successfully 3D-printed a device for drug testing. The gadget consists of five zones that mimic the environment of the heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, and brain. These zones are connected by special channels similar to the human circulatory system. Researchers can use this device to evaluate the effects of a drug on one specific organ or multiple organs at once. To do this, the device is scanned using positron emission tomography.
