Japan's SLIM Module Successfully Enters Lunar Orbit

The first Japanese exploration module, SLIM, has successfully entered lunar orbit. The preparation for descent and landing on the surface of Earth's satellite will begin soon. The landing is scheduled for 00:00 on January 20, 2024, Japan Standard Time. The SLIM module is capable of landing at a specified point with an accuracy of up to 100 meters. If everything goes as planned, Japan will become the fifth country in the world to send a module to the Moon.
