Psilocybin has been found to be helpful in treating depression in oncology patients. American researchers have reported success in the clinical trials of psilocybin therapy for the treatment of major depression in oncology patients. Some patients reported mild and transient nausea and headaches, but no serious side effects were recorded. Psilocybin therapy in this format has proven to be safe.
