Wild Kiwi Chicks Born Near New Zealand's Capital After 100 Years

For the first time in 100 years, wild kiwi chicks have been born near New Zealand's capital. The tiny creatures came into the world in the outskirts of Wellington, just a half-hour drive from the city center. Once, the archipelago was home to 12 million birds, but their population has dropped to 68 thousand, and people are doing their best to save this unique species.
