Blue Macaws Successfully Breed in the Wild for the First Time in 37 Years

Blue macaws have bred chicks in the wild for the first time in 37 years. This stunning species was nearly extinct due to deforestation and capture, but humans have managed to save a portion of the population. Recently, a female laid eggs and the chicks were successfully hatched - the first time since 1986.
