American Farmer Grows Hottest Pepper Ever Recorded

An American farmer has cultivated a new variety of the spiciest pepper and made it into the Guinness World Records book. This pepper, called Pepper X, measures 2.69 million Scoville Heat Units, making it the hottest pepper in existence. A regular jalapeno measures around 5,000 Scoville Heat Units, while pepper sprays used by police contain between 1.6 to 2.2 million units. The brave individual who ate this pepper whole described experiencing intense burning for three hours, followed by spasms.
