Parker Solar Probe Sets New Speed Record in Space

The Parker Solar Probe spacecraft has reached a fundamentally new milestone, becoming the fastest human-made object ever created. On September 27, NASA's probe set a new record by reaching a speed of 635,266 km/h. Although this is still significantly less than 1% of the speed of light (0.062%), and it does not bring humanity any closer to interstellar travel, in terms of interplanetary flights, this speed instills optimism.
