UK Launches HotSat-1 Satellite to Track Energy-Wasting Homes

The United Kingdom has launched the HotSat-1 satellite with a thermal imager. It is capable of tracking hot and cold spots up to 3.5 meters in diameter on the Earth. With the help of the satellite, homes in the UK that waste energy and need better insulation will be identified.
